# In "Kodomo Asobi", Miyagawa illustrates the innocence and joy of childhood through scenes that emphasize communal play, traditional toys, and nature. The series is part of the broader ukiyo-e tradition, but reflects also the changing times of the Meiji period, a period of rapid modernization in Japan, blending traditional Japanese themes with emerging modern influences.
