First edition of this book whose text is printed in French and Italian. Esquire, hippologist and 18th century German draftsman, d'Eisenberg spent his youth "riding and riding" at the court of Saxe-Weimar, then he entered the service of the Emperor. He was Grand Squire to the Count of Daun, Viceroy of Naples where he remained for six years. He then went to Vienna where he was a pupil of M. de Rogenthal, Esquire of the Imperial Riding School, he seems to have attended the coronation of Emperor Charles VI in Frankfurt. He also resided for a few years in England, then in Tuscany, where in 1753 he was Director and first Squire of the Academy of Pisa
